Dr. Rich Atkin is a Physical Therapist specializing in safe patient handling and mobility in the healthcare setting.  He has been instructing Nursing and Therapy personnel for over 9 years regarding safety in the rehab, hospital, SNF, and other areas of patient care.  He is a practicing Rehab Therapist specializing in stroke and neurological conditions.  With 18 years of experience in most therapy settings, he has helped hundreds of individuals from the most challenging transfers to the most basic; from overall safety to job satisfaction, or culture changes at work to preventing injuries.           Ergonomic intervention and safety for the healthcare provider are two key elements when caring for others in any setting.
